Butler County Health is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. This full-time day position (40 hrs/wk) requires a motivated leader that will foster an environment of team work, pride, and customer service within the housekeeping department.  The successful candidate will ensure that all areas of the hospital and its other facilities are kept clean and disinfected using the latest infection control guidelines. Previous Supervisor experience preferred. Valid Drivers License required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Understand and comply with the requirements of the Hospital’s Compliance Program, including, but not limited to the Code of Conduct, The Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance plans affecting specific duties and responsibilities.

Participate in all education and training programs regarding compliance as required by Hospital policy and as requested by supervisor.

Consistently support the compliance Program through personal example; the provision of day-to-day instruction and correction to employees in regard to compliance-related issues; application of appropriate discipline as required for compliance violations; and ongoing monitoring of activities and work product in areas of responsibility with respect to compliance-related issues.

  1. Design programs and strategies to meet goals and objectives agreed upon with the CEO.
  2. Provide input/assistance with hiring and termination of staff
  3. Create a Housekeeping Schedule that adequately staffs the hospital to meet its needs.
  4. Delegate responsibility to other housekeeping staff as appropriate.
  5. Operate department within regulatory standards, best practices, and prescribed budget.
  6. Plan and document QI for housekeeping.
  7. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and standard work. 
  8. Maintain job descriptions and evaluate housekeeping staff at annually.
  9. Ensure that all areas of the hospital are kept clean and disinfected using the latest infection control guidelines.
  10. Work with the Materials Management Manager to ensure the department has the supplies they need.
  11. Foster an environment of team work, pride, customer service, and confidentiality within the department.
  12. Appropriate barrier protection will always be used in housekeeping when exposure to blood and/or body fluids is anticipated.
  13. Implementing safe work practices 100% of time to reduce the risk of occupation exposure during all procedures or tasks that involve contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
  14. Attend workshops both in and out of town.

 

The Parkinson's Empowerment Group at Butler County Health targets so many aspects and symptoms of Parkinson’s. It improves a person’s posture, mobility, balance, and coordination, as well as cognition and ability to multi-task. I also like the flexibility of the program and being able to adjust exercises from each position to fit the need of each individual patient.

I feel having a 3D mammogram was a blessing for me since it detected my Stage 1 cancer.  The technicians were very helpful as they explained how the machine worked compared to the 2D method.  A big difference is that the 3D machines moves above your head from one size to another and gives a more complete image of the breast.  The testing time also seemed shorter than the standard mammogram.

I had a bunion on my foot and I wanted it removed,  but I really didn't want to travel too far to have the procedure done.  So when Butler County Health started providing Podiatry Services, I made an appointment right away.  Dr. Carlston is professional and personable.  He took the time to explain what happens during the procedure and afterwards.

Being able to have my blood drawn at Butler County Health saves me a weekly trip to Omaha.  It is simple to schedule an appointment that works with my schedule and the staff is quick and efficient at drawing my blood samples.
